Project

Equal Opportunity Movement for Remote Education

Project Summary

During the pandemic, we have conducted research in order to identify the most urgent needs of students. The results revealed that many of them are struggling with insufficient access to technology. In line with the research findings, we developed the “Equal Opportunity Movement for Distance Education Project”. Within the scope of the project, we have provided technological support to students who were unable to access education remotely.

Project

Independent Girls of the Future

Project Summary

According to The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the drop-out rate for girls in Turkey is 24.5%, while for boys it is 12.62%. One of the underlying reasons for this is the lack of sufficient financial support. This project aims to ensure that Turkish girls at high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels have equal opportunities in education, by providing them with the financial support they need.

Scholarship Amount

TRY6,300

Scope of Scholarship

The scholarship provides a monthly allowance to meet their basic needs.

Project Notes

Project

Gratitude Fund for COVID-19 Heroes

Project Summary

The COVID-19 pandemic has created an unpredictable future for people around the world. As the Turkish Education Foundation (TEV), we are deeply worried about the future of students in Turkey, particularly those whose parents have to fight against the pandemic on the front line.

Thus, we have launched the Gratitude Fund for COVID-19 Heroes to support the children of healthcare workers.

This project aims to help these students both financially and academically. Students who receive a scholarship from this project have the opportunity to benefit from online mentoring programs and training as well.

TEV intends to create a life-long positive impact on the lives of these students, supporting them by all possible means. The scholarships and online programs help these students to focus on their academic careers and provide them with a hopeful future.
