TEV UK is a small, volunteer-run organisation, but thanks to your support, our impact continues to grow far beyond our size. Every scholarship, every partnership, and every student success story has been made possible through your kindness.
Before we look ahead, we want to share some of our proudest achievements from 2025—all of which you helped make possible.
✨ Highlights of 2025
A stronger partnership with the Cambridge Trust
This year, we successfully increased our Cambridge Trust contribution match from 25% to 50%. This allows us to fund one additional scholar at Cambridge University, doubling opportunities for exceptional students with financial need.
Our first non-Turkish benefactor
We welcomed our first benefactor from outside the Turkish community, who generously committed to fully fund a Master’s student. This milestone signals the growing international recognition of TEV UK’s mission and impact.
More scholars at Imperial College London
We proudly increased the number of our Imperial College scholars from two to three, expanding access to world-class education in one of the UK’s top institutions.
New partnership with Londonist
We formed a new collaboration with Londonist, a leading student accommodation agency with over 14 years of experience and 30 locations across London.
Through this partnership, Londonist has generously provided free accommodation for one of our Imperial scholars.
We extend our warmest thanks to the entire Londonist team for their incredible support.
Community-driven fundraising events
We enjoyed several successful, high-energy fundraising events this year.
Special thanks go to our committee member Celal Kopuz for sponsoring our dance party at Louie London, and to DJ Can HatipoÄŸlu, who kindly performed free of charge. Their generosity made the evening unforgettable.
Celebrating our 5th anniversary
This year also marked a major milestone—TEV UK’s 5th anniversary.
With the generous sponsorship of Ersin Nazali who joined our Development Committee this year, we celebrated this special occasion at the Reform Club, bringing together our scholars, donors, and volunteers.
It was a heartfelt evening reflecting on how far we have come and the collective achievements that have shaped TEV UK into the organisation it is today.
Why We Need Your Continued Support — Especially Monthly Donations
TEV UK relies almost entirely on volunteers and the goodwill of its donors. While individual fundraising events bring wonderful energy and community spirit, they also require enormous time and effort from our volunteer team.
To create a long-term, stable foundation for our scholars, we hope to reduce our dependence on event-based fundraising and instead build a secure and predictable monthly income stream.
A regular contribution—no matter the size—helps us:
• Plan more effectively for future scholarship commitments
• Offer security to our students, many of whom depend on timely and reliable support
• Reduce pressure on our volunteer fundraisers, allowing more time for strategic partnerships and student engagement
• Focus our efforts on impact, rather than continuous fundraising cycles
