TEV UK – Fall 2024 Updates

Dear TEV UK Community,

As we return to our regular schedules after the summer break, we are thrilled to welcome our new scholars, who are about to embark on their educational journeys at some of the most prestigious universities in the world. These are indeed exciting times for TEV UK!

This year, we are proud to share that we have two TEV UK scholars studying at Oxford, one at Imperial College, and one at Cambridge. These remarkable students are sure to excel and make the most of the opportunities ahead.

We are also delighted to highlight the continued achievements of our previous scholars. Some have extended their studies to PhD level, with scholarships directly awarded by Oxford University itself—an extraordinary accomplishment. Furthermore, one of our scholars has received the prestigious GatesCambridge Award to pursue a PhD at University of Cambridge. These milestones are a true testament to the exceptional calibre of our scholars and the recognition they continue to receive from leading institutions.

Looking ahead to the academic year 2025/2026, we are actively working on renewing our partnerships to provide even more opportunities for talented students. We are excited to announce that we have renewed our partnership with the Cambridge Trust, which will allow us to sponsor two scholars this year. We are also in the process of finalising our renewed partnership with Imperial College, and we look forward to sharing further details soon.

In addition to supporting scholars in the UK, TEV UK has been extending high-merit scholarships to exceptional undergraduate students in Türkiye. This year, we are excited to announce that we are increasing our sponsorship from 10 students to 15. We remain committed to supporting the brightest students, both here in the UK and in Türkiye.

All of these initiatives require funding, and we kindly ask for your continued support. Every contribution makes a difference, whether by attending our fundraisers, making direct donations, or, most importantly, setting up regular monthly donations. As little as £40–50 per month on a continuous basis significantly strengthens our ability to support more students.

Looking ahead, we are planning a few fundraising events later this autumn. One event will be a ceramic workshop generously donated by Ayse Habibe Kucuk, a talented ceramic artist and a former TEV scholar. We will also be hosting another Ladies Lunch after the success of previous year’s event. Please keep an eye out for details of these exciting events!

Once again, we sincerely thank you for your unwavering support. Together, we are helping to shape the future of many bright and deserving students.

Warm regards,
Sule Arinc
